Terms of Service
Last updated 1 September 2026
By using TradePilot AI you agree to what is on this page. It is written to be read, not to be survived — if a clause is unclear, ask and it will be rewritten.
The one sentence that matters most: this is a research and automation tool, not advice, and a backtest is not a promise. If you connect it to a live account, the orders are yours — see clause 4.
01What the service is
TradePilot AI backtests trading strategies on historical price data, searches for new ones, stress-tests what it finds on data it did not train on, and simulates a demo account. Every backtest calculation runs in your browser against data from third-party providers.
It also has an optional live side. On the Elite plan you can create a terminal (a bridge) and a standing rule; our server then evaluates that rule on closed candles and queues an order intent for the terminal to collect. The terminal is a program that runs on your machine or your VPS, inside your own MetaTrader, logged into your own broker account. Both the terminal and the rule are created switched off, and nothing is ever sent until you turn them on yourself.
02Not financial advice
Nothing the app outputs is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. It is not investment, tax or legal advice, and it is not a managed service. No result shown here takes your circumstances, your capital or your risk tolerance into account, because it knows none of them. Decisions you take with real money are yours alone.
To say it in the words the question is usually asked in: TradePilot AI is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or as a research analyst, and it does not hold itself out as one. It is software you operate — it measures strategies on historical data and, if you switch it on, sends an order intent to a terminal you run. It does not tell you what to buy, does not manage anyone's portfolio and does not take a share of anyone's profit. If you want advice, that is a licensed adviser's job, not this tool's.
03What a backtest does and does not prove
A backtest is a measurement of the past under stated assumptions, and the app states them rather than hiding them — see the Assumptions card next to every report. In particular: results are hypothetical; slippage, swap and financing are not modelled; a stop and a target inside the same candle are resolved by an explicit rule, not by real tick order; and a strategy fitted to history can fail immediately in live conditions. Past performance does not indicate future results.
Trading leveraged instruments carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose more than you deposit.
04Live trading, the bridge and your broker
Live trading is opt-in, it is off until you switch it on, and it never moves money through us. We are not a broker, not a portfolio manager and not an intermediary of funds: we hold no broker credentials, we cannot log into your account, and we cannot deposit or withdraw anything. What we do is queue an order intent; your terminal reads it and places the order under your own broker relationship, and that broker's terms and leverage apply to it.
You are responsible for every order placed this way, including orders placed while you were asleep or away. The terminal only runs while your machine or VPS is on — if it is off, a rule can trigger with nothing there to execute it, and an already-open position keeps running untouched at your broker. Set your own stop-loss and risk limits, and use the kill switch in the app (or the terminal's own panic switch) to stop everything at once. Those switches stay available whatever your plan is.
A new terminal, a new rule and a new live order require an active Elite plan. When a subscription lapses, new orders stop being queued; the rule stays as it is and starts working again on renewal, and nothing already open at your broker is closed by us.
05Accounts
You must be 18 or older. Use a real email address you control — it is how the account is recovered and how a plan is attached to you. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping any API key you paste into the app to yourself.
06Plans and payments
Plans limit the size of a search, the years of history, the number of live watches and access to the live bridge; the honesty machinery — walk-forward, consensus scoring, the REJECT verdict — is never gated, because a paid plan must not be able to buy a better-looking verdict.
Subscriptions are live and are taken through Razorpay, which handles the payment page and the card, UPI or netbanking details — we never see them. Plans bill for a period, you can cancel at any time, and access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Prices may change with notice; a change never applies to a period you have already paid.
Cancellation and refunds have their own page, and it is the one that governs: Refunds & Cancellation. The short version is that you can cancel whenever you like and a payment is refunded in full if you ask within 7 days of it.
07Acceptable use
Do not resell or redistribute access to the app, scrape it, attack it, attempt to bypass the plan limits, or use it to break the terms of a data provider you are querying through it. Automating the interface to hammer a provider's API on someone else's key is a breach of both their terms and these.
08Third-party data
Price history comes from Binance and Twelve Data. Their coverage, corrections and outages are theirs, not ours; a gap, a bad candle or a rate limit is a fact about the data source. Where a provider needs a key, it is your key, used under their terms, and it stays in your browser.
09Availability
The service is provided as it is, with no guaranteed uptime. Features may change, and one may be removed if keeping it would mean showing a number we cannot stand behind.
10Who owns what
The app, its engine and its design are the owner's. Your strategies, notes and journal entries are yours — saving them here grants nothing beyond storing and displaying them back to you.
11Limits of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, TradePilot AI and its owner are not liable for trading losses, lost profit, lost data, or any indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the app — including where a result was wrong, a provider's data was wrong, or the service was unavailable. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at what you have paid for the service in the previous twelve months, which for a free account is nil.
This applies to the live side as well: to an order that was queued, one that was not queued, one that reached your broker late, and one that was filled at a different price than the signal assumed. A rule evaluates candles from a data provider and a broker fills at its own prices, so the two will not always agree. Automation is convenience, not a guarantee of execution — and, as in clause 4, the position is yours.
12Ending it
You can stop using the app at any time and ask for the account to be deleted (see the Privacy Policy). Access may be suspended for a breach of clause 7, or if a plan is being used in a way that degrades the service for others.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
